Who runs this site

This site is published by the operator of this website. Anything you want to ask, correct, or delete goes to Bend Investors <team@bendinvestors.com>. A person reads it.

What we collect

What you give us. When you request an invite, reserve a sponsor slot, or apply to host, we receive what you type: your email, and where the form asks for it your name, company, role, website, market, a line on why you want in, who referred you, and any message you add.

What your visit generates. Pages viewed, what you click and how far you scroll, device and browser type, approximate location from your network address, page speed, and a random session identifier that ties one visit together. It is not your name.

Analytics, including session replay

We use several third-party analytics tools to understand how this site is used and to find and fix the places it confuses people. That includes heatmaps and session replays — what you do on a page (clicks, scrolling, typing into fields that are not masked) may be recorded and replayed to us. Form fields that take personal details are masked in those replays. None of it is tied to your name unless you submit a form. We do not run advertising pixels and we do not retarget you.

If you would rather not be counted, you do not have to be. Block analytics scripts in your browser — the site works without them — or email us and we will delete anything already tied to you.

How we use it

To review your request and reply to it, to seat the room, to send you the calendar and the messages you asked for, and to improve this site. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with anyone for their marketing.

Who else sees it

The service providers that run this site on our behalf: hosting, analytics, our email and contact-management system, and the database where requests are stored. Each processes it only to provide that service to us.

How long we keep it

An open request stays until it is answered. A member’s record stays as long as they are part of the room. Ask us to delete your information and we delete it.

Your rights

You may ask to see, correct, or delete what we hold about you at any time by emailing Bend Investors <team@bendinvestors.com>. Depending on where you live (for example California, Virginia, the EU or the UK) you may have additional statutory rights, and we honor them.

Children

This site is for working professionals and is not directed at anyone under 18.

Changes

When this page changes in a way that matters — a new kind of collection, a new category of provider — the date at the top changes with it.
